Workout Regiment 2005
There was not doubt about it, I became a fat body in 2005. I topped the scale at 187. My BMI was off the scales, I was on the verge of meeting the clynical definition of obesity, and that’s only two years after I ran my best marathon! Something needed to be done. Enter data collection and exercise (especially bicycling) logging to solve the problem.
This is a representation of my weekly totals for biking, running and some swimming.

It goes nicely with my average weekly weight for this time period. Mind you that I did not really alter my diet habits. Perhaps I pulled back on alcohol consumption in order to have better workouts, but that’s about it. The weight was calculated based on an attempted self weighing three times a day, before breakfast, after lunch and before bedtime. During the summer I was able to loose about 16 pounds before poping upa bit during the Thanksgiving - Christmas - New Years feasting.

The workout data was collected using a heavily modified from from www.thinnmann.com, here is the actuall form, and here is a blank 2006 workout (running, biking, swimming and cross training), weight form. It also keeps track of things like resting hear pulse, hours slept, nutrition info, miles ran on pair of shes, etc.
I kept track of every workout over 20 minutes long. I also tried to weigh myself three times a day to get a good average. I believe that due to logging and keeping track of how my activity and diet impacted the numbers I was able to get some results.
Some numerical hilights of 2005:
Total miles ran - 248
Total miles biked - 1754
Peek run week - 36
